Catch

You have to love how life throws curve balls at you. One moment you're attempting to glide peacefully along, the next you are slam dunked by a basketball to swing wildly like a weevle......

Take this week for instance: yesterday was peachyriffical! until approx 8:10pm.. from there things went down hill quite quickly....... my weeble was wobbled..

At work today I just wanted to act floppy and not be happy, but because one of my co-workers friends just quit life (he committed suicide last night), her ex-husband is moving and wants to take her back to court for custody of the kids, and her grampa died yesterday, I decided that she prolly had it a lot worse than me and that I would just wait until I got home to have my pity party.

So I had a slight fit, ate my french fries, coughed one up on my book, cried because I was not having a good go of things and my mom was trying to make conversation while i was trying to read my book, and no for the third time I do not want a Cinnamon roll because I am too full.
I figured things had calmed down a bit but then i got in a fight with the dishwasher and now i have a large bruise that is not only large but raised on my shin, for those of you concerned, the dishwasher is fine.
after fighting with the dishwasher I decided to take a bath, with a wicked case of the hickups that im sure some poor chinaman heared, I am attempting to cut my bath bomb in half. After some assistance of my father, a meat cleaver, and some well aimed Karate chop noises, the bath ball splits and I head for the tub.

I named the bath Honey Bee Good and Float Away (because all men should take a hint every once and a while [mix one honey bee bath bomb with a marzibain bubble bar and a floating island luxury bath melt, and read your book.])(they have this new make up a name for your bath cocktail at work so im trying my hand at it....) The bath went ok, so I figured that life must be getting better, plus I got to use my new Snow Cake Soap so I figured that I would be ok, and although my bruise looks bigger after shaving my legs, I figured whats one battle scar among others, and left the dishwasher to its own devices.

Then I sat in my dads new electric reclining leather chair, and read my book....

So there I am floating on the high seas with Jacky.. When BAM

Gary my little brother rolls in from work and tells me that I should apply for the management position opening up at the store where he works (and has worked for a whole week now) because the manager there now is leaving, and the guy taking her place is a right dummie and Gary thinks I should do it because everyone is leaving because no one likes this guy who is moving up to be manager...

bla bla bla

Honey was bad and floated back

all of my relaxation was suddenly gone and

BOOM

Im trying to franticly get straight answers and see if i want to apply for a full time job that will pay approx 32,000 a year give me a position with better hours ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect

(being as its getting late and ive been up since quarter to seven my brain is already asleep and not likeing the prospect of waking up, im having to do this brainless and my poor mouth is hanging open slightly)

After finally waking up enough and thinking... which i must admit was QUITE hard, :p I have come to the conclusion that:

IF the guy is that bad, the position for assistant manager (because there is no one to fill that space for now) will possibly still be open. For that reason I am going to stick with what im doing now and hope that possibly they will be desperate enought to take me when my temp position at where i currently work is done...

It was nice to come to a conclusion, after Gary tried to show me a chart of who was leaving and who would probably be staying, I grew slightly concerned, for this looked complicated. I am happy to say that I understand and shall contemplate it for the future!!!

but I can still see that 32,000 floating by with my car....

Sigh

Frustermerated!!!!!!!

I am officially Frustermerated with some people

people who

Make plans with people MONTHS in advance, and then inform the other person that they are going out of town so suddenly they are going to the thing by themselves

People who dont hold the door for the people behind them

People who wont try new things because they are different or because of where they came from
(MY COOKING IS NOT THAT BAD!)

People who will talk trash about others and think nothing of it but when other people talk about them or get mad at them for it they are super offended.

People who think they are the ONLY PEOPLE DRIVING in SASKATOON, and CUT PEOPLE OFF!!!

People who think shopping in pj bottoms is appropriate.

People who sit and sulk/mope/act grumpy at social functions, and then just leave without telling the host/hostess goodbye.

People who make judgements based on a 5 second meeting and make no attempt to get to know the person further, they just base their whole assumption of the person on a greeting...

and furthermore, People who think it is their right to be nice to you some days, and drop you like a hot potatoe the next simply becasue you are
a)hormonal
b)just not having a very good day
or c)because there is nothing going on in your life that is gossiplike and/ or interesting so... Who cares about you?

I am just about sick of people in general who treat others like dirt and toss them around like a rag doll...

For anyone who hasnt noticed i am having a bad week and i am NOT in a good mood at this particular moment in my life.

I am open to hugs ect ect ect
be warned, I do bite, so dont tick me off, because i will yell and get mad, possibly bite you, then cry, say im sorry, have a heart to heart or something like that and give you a hug...

Im just frustrated and confused about people, and thier stupidness, and their meanieness.. and if i misunderstand you then forgive me... but i am not having a nice time trying to interpret things, and im confused enough about life as it is.. so any assistance and i would be muchly muchly happyier...

for now.. i am going to go cry and try to once again, figure out life...

im just not having a good time of it at this particular moment is all... and ive been mad for almost 24 hours now, so obviously i am not impressed... and VERY confuzzeled...

The bus

Because I do not own a vehicular object at this present moment in time I have to take the bus. Now, other than the fact that the Saskatoon transit system is
1)Very rarely running right on schedual
2)Takes FOREVER to get where you need to go
and
3)Is filled with people who are incredibly interesting and need a bath, that always seem to target the seat right next to YOU.

its fine...

Really I complain about it, but It eventually gets me to point b, I work at lush so i just stick my nose in my scarf (thank god its getting colder) and breath in the scent of bath bombs while praying i wont PUKE from the smell (plus i get motion sick while drivin or riding on ANYTHING), (i have to take gravol whilst canoeing, sad I know)... and yeah the ride is long but at least i can chill listening to music while not having to pay attention to whats going on around me....

thats what i keep telling myself anyways...

Usually the bus ride is ok... on some days though it gets interesting.. Like the other night I got off of work at LUSH! and went to ketch the bus. I nearly burst into tears when i realized the bus was going to be another 45 minutes in arriving...
So I sat down on a bench closed my eyes and prayed my toes wouldnt freeze off before the bus came... whiltst sitting i overheard that the 50 the bus i needed to take was late... Halalujah! thank the lord! so i didnt have to wait too long.. but since i made a comment reguarding the fact that I didnt want to have to wait TOO terribly long because of the cold, both women waiting with me were delighted and i found myself with two women who were very chattery and I was their new bestest friend... (in Jesus name help my stop get here faster)... one nice thing.. they didnt smell and I just smiled and nodded while my music played... it worked wonderfully!

My most interesting bus ride yet went like the following...

I had waited for the bus Praying that it would not be early, when i arrived at the stop, I found that thank merciful heavens, it hadnt arrived yet.... So I waited for my bus..
When the bus arrived, I climbed aboard, showed my pass, and went to get a seat. NOW because I get motion sick i sit as CLOSE to the front as possible... an elderly woman who had climbed on the bus before me was also sitting on the three person bench that I was about to sit down on...

As i began to sit down the poor dear women cried out "oh dont squish my milk!"
....

I had seen the bag carrying a one liter carton of milk and had come to the conclusion that my bottom had more than enough space to sit on the bench and not squish her milk..... The poor dear women had other ideas and was horrified at the thought of her poor dear milk being sat upon. After assuring her i had seen the milk carton and had enough room to sit down, the woman shook her head and holding her carton like a baby in the crook of her arm, grinned at me and said, "its a good thing i told you not to sit down, that would have made a large mess!"
At this point I gave up all hope, and inserted my earplugs hoping to dispell any further conversation for the ride....
as the lady was leaving the bus at her stop she muttered something about milk when she got off the bus and gave one last grin at me...

Im sorry but Im pretty sure i would have noticed a COLD carton of milk (like Square?) and not sat down on it... im not the type of person who just keeps sitting down when i know something is wrong with the seat... ummm DUH!... anyways

So the poor dilusional milk lady got off the bus and i was sitting on the bench alone.
that lasted for roughly 2 seconds before a lady decided to move from a more crowded bench onto mine.
This i was fine with... until I noticed the green cloud that wafted behind her... Turn up music, and Cover nose with scarf...

at this point i began praying... my prayre went something like this:
"Dear lord, why do all the really weird people have to sit with me, why cant i just have like a really nice smart guy sit next to me or something... {my thoughts, God insert superman} instead of these really weird people....

after my short prayer we pulled up to the university bus terminal.

where my prayers were promptly answered...

have you ever noticed that if you dont get specific god is like hahahahahhahahahaha sure, here you go, this is what you asked for! God had a wicked sense of humor I tell you...

A guy got on and did sit next to me...

this guy obviously didnt ride the bus much because he had to ask what the fare was... then he sat down next to me,
now dont get me wrong here.. he was definatelly a good looking guy... about thirty years ago...
the guy was probably in his sixties, and had a head of grey hair...

ok so technically part one of my prayer is answered.. good looking guy who seems rather nice....

as i am contemplating this (the smelly lady, then the guy, then me with my earphones in, scarf over my nose, music turned up quite loud to prevent other people from talking to me) the guy pulls out an old book to read. I'm thinking ok this is kinda cool... old guy reading old book.. then he opens it and the rest of my prayer is answered... the guy is not only smart because the book is in another language ( like Russian or something Scandinavian like that), but as he is turning the pages I notice that there are something like Scientific or mathematic notations...

at this point I am killing myself with silent laughter at my situation...

My favorite part of the whole thing is the fact that the whole situation except for the milk part is really of my own making... well that and the fact that God has such an amazing way of answering our prayers.... :D
He truly is a wonder working God....

Still alive and kicking people

After staying home for almost 2 months not working a job, I have finally gotten back into the wonderful working force..... That is the excuse that I have for not writing in a little over a month. Before I go into any stories or other blog writings that I had in mind, I thought I would update all 1 and a half readers of mine that I am alive, as well as tell you how things are going...

First off,

My mother arrived home from PEI (visiting her parents) safe and sound. I took a few days after she arrived home to make sure that she was well settled and situated at home to go job hunting

TRANSLATION: not twentyfour hours after she arrived home I went gallavanting off to Medicine hat with my most bestedest friend in the world,to share thanksgiving with one of the most definatly coolest families in the world.

ANYWAYS!

So after a superduperiffical weekend in Alberta, I came home with the prospect of job hunting.
Now, I may seem outgoing, blablablablablabla.... whatever... I HATE job interviews with a PASSION and a HALF, and I hate wandering around downtown trying to pass out my resume. Its worse than say... Singing christmas carols in the mall? we WILL not go there at this present time...

anyways, Although I had not gone to PEI with my mom because I was sick, I just didnt feel the need to get a job. Dont get me wrong, I was working very part time with a guy for a notions company stocking notions at fabricland (where I used to work), but i just didnt feel at the time to search for something else. SO I waited until my mom returned, and then decided that nothing really served my fancy on this side of the city so i hitched up my wagon and headed into downtown. (Translation, I chased the bus half way downtown before it would let me on... or something like that)

WHen I arrived downtown I wasnt really sure where to start. I sort of knew where I wanted to work So i decided to start there first. which was fine with me. After wandering through the mall, I stopped at LUSH! (no im not excited, thats how the name is spelled/pronounced/wahtever) So I went in. As i browsed through the store ( I HATE just walking up to people and being like "so like HI, Im like looking for a job and was like wondering... would you hire me?!", So i just browsed... well while im "browsing" I overheard the two girls at the counter talking about how they were schedualling someone for an interview for that afternoon. I browsed for a few more minutes and then decided that I should approach the people, so i walked up to the people and said, "I was wondering if you are still hiring for the christmas season?" and they both looked at each other and were like, "uhm yeah, when can you come in for an interview?", and i said "well whenever you would like me too...." ... "can you come in this afternoon?"
So now im all of a sudden schedualled for a job interview. Great!

then I handed in my resume at Laura Secord.....

Then I called my bestest friend and went for lunch with her

while eating I got a phone call from Laura Secord

ME: Hello?
LS: Hi is Carlee there?
Me:speaking...
LS:I just got in and was wondering if you were able to come in for a job interview sometime tomorrow say... 1?
Me: (starting to jump up and down spilling my bestest friends chow mein, but still reigning in the calm in my voice) Sure that would be fine.
LS: see you then!
Me: ok...
CLICK

->insert victory dance here.....

So suddenly I have 2 job interviews with the 2 resumes that I handed out, and because my bestest friend just HAPPENED to know the manager at Laura, (and she introduced me to him later that day) I am basically gaurenteed the job.

->insert second victory dance....

Then i wandered around the mall some more, met up with my dad, wandered and then went to LUSH! for my interview...

After a 35 minute conversation, I had a second full time job working with the mostest coolest amazingest womens EVER! at the coolest job EVER!

->INSERT APPROX 90MINUTE TOUCH DOWN DANCE COMPLETE WITH VERY LOUD SHOUTING HYSTERICAL PHONE CONVERSATION WITH MOTHER ON CELLULAR TELEPHONE!

So that is what I have been doing for the past month. Besides gallivanting over to Alberta, I have been working to pay off my VISA bill... Ebay and I have a love hate relationship...

So if you missed my posting, all 1.5 readers, I apologise muchly to you and promise to try and be more faithful... I gaurentee I will be posting more in the next few days with many many stories from work and the bus as well as random rants...

That being said, it probably wont happen at all that way, but i have been writing things down so at least i wont forget them...

Oh yea and Pictures from my trip to Medicine Hat are posted on my facebook if you want to see the shinanagins that I got into... lol... nothing new there!

SQUEEZE ME!

SO, while in prayer on Saturday night, I was thinking about pimples... Now I know, dude why were you thinking about that when you were supposed to be praying?! It was because I have one of those ones that's really deep and hurts really bad, and you cant squeeze it cuz it will just make it hurt more than its already hurting.

ANYWAYS...

Like all of my thoughts, my brain decided to take a hiatus and headed in a completely different direction than prayer, and I started comparing people and pimples....

For those of you who read my WON TON blog, my brain decided to follow that track again.....

ANYWAYS, I started thinking about the pores on everyone's face, and how like people they are really they're own independent beings (I don't know if that's for sure but lets just say for the sake of this post it is, now shut up and keep reading)

each pore reacts differently to different situations
FOR Example: In the sun usually your forehead sweats, (pores) but your cheeks don't (well mine anyways)

And just like people different areas and pores react differently to the dirt of life... See unlike my cheeks, my chin tends to not react well with the dirt of life. Much like some very sensitive beings, it lets the dirt get to it and get real deep where it sits and absolutely annoys the snot out of not only the person (because it keeps bugging them) but everyone else too, because the one person wont let it go...

then there's the people who just let everything roll off their shoulders, like my cheek pores, who never get pimples, and if they do they don't last long...

then, my nose which is that combination of occasionally greasy dirty people, where some stuff stays and other stuff doesn't...
Some people instead of working on their skin just cover it up and pretend everything is fine.

With work and persistence the pores can change but it takes a lot more work than most are willing to put in... essentially they would rather just stay the way they are and not change... why do that when they can wallow in self pity and get more attention...

This post like a lot of my other posts is REALLY weird, but to me it makes sense.
Hopefully it makes sense to you as well and you get something out of it.

A dash of something seriously old.. serious

I was going through some things the other day (ok today, but the other day just sounds better) anyhoo... I was looking through some stuff and found some OLD poetry and other such type projects that I wrote in the last couple of years.. most of them were done in grade ten, so reaching back far into the past here is some of my really interesting ideas...

VOICES
MY voice, so small in the crowd, screaming with all my might.
No one can hear me.
I'm drowning in my own voice, they all walk by oblivious.
Im so afraid, so alone.
I cry for help and no one comes, the light is so far away, no one seems to understand.
So lost, no one there, wandering aimlessly, everything seems so helpless.
"So just give up", says a small voice.
I can't listen to it, I would never do that!
"But they don't care!" It screams.
Sure they do, don't they?
Fed by my ever growing doubt, it slowly consumes me.
By now its much too late, no one could help me.
Even if they wanted to.
~Carlee Friske Written 2006~

Sometimes I look back on what I write and I'm like "DUDE! How and why did I write that?" I guess sometimes things just strike me and I just write about them. In this case I think I was pretty frustrated about something... lol I certainly wasn't too excited about much...,

I think for now I'll just put one more up.. I think I'll end it a little lighter so... yeah.. make sure you read to the end on this one.. umm It was a writing exercise for class.. It seems really really weird.. but um just keep reading...

HELP!
AWAKEN from a deep sleep
Where am I and what happened?
I can feel him on top of me,
his horrible breath fills my senses,
his tongue is everywhere.
My face is wet,
I say "no more!"
But still he pushes on.
I roll over to try and escape from this horror.
Then my mom comes in,
and takes the dog off of me.
Now I can sleep in after a long week of school.
~Carlee Friske Written 2006~

Like I said, you really have to read to the end. The whole idea of the writing exercise was to mislead the reader, I think it worked and I got a decent mark on it.. I don't remember because it was too long ago. But yeah.. I don't want to post TOO much more because I need to go look at my other stuff and try to post some stuff in a theme or something... anyways thats my thoughts for this particular moment...

Dead Bird Syndrome

Yesterday while driving around the city, I noticed a dead bird on a street near my house. The poor thing had just walked across the road and suddenly become grilled meat.. literally...

Anyways so I kept passing this poor dead birdy and it got me thinking...as it lay there slightly adhered to the pavement, cars driving by, paying no attention, I realized that just like everything else, now that it was "gone" no one really cared anymore... If the bird had of kept swooping in front of traffic, then people would have cared, but since it was dead, it becomes more of an eyesore (or pothole filler) than anything else.

And that triggered another thought (I was doing a lot of thinking yesterday)

How different is that from anything else. Sure it was JUST a bird.... But when someone dies for real they're just gone. Some people leave some type of a mark that may make them remembered for a little while longer, but really everyone is eventually forgotten.

After thinking about that for a little longer.. I realized that I don't want to be like the bird.
(hahahahahhahahhahahahahahhahahahahhhahahahhahaahhahahahah... ahem inside joke) Instead of playing in the traffic trying to make a name for myself and getting the attention that I so desire, I am just going to stay on the sidewalk so to speak, and just hang out until either I can cross, or I'll just keep walking and eventually find a lemonaid stand or something where I can make my small mark on the world.

When you think in history, most people are flash bang. They suddenly show up for some odd reason, have their fifteen minutes of fame and then are forgotten forever. Other people I notice who bide their time and just do their own thing seem to be remembered for much longer.

For example: Most "Stars" of the day are incredibly flash bang, they make their contribution to society, and then when their gone well we forget about them, even if we own their cd or movie, after a few years no one remembers who you were. But if you think of some people like Laura Ingalls Wilder who just did her own thing, bided her time, walked on the sidewalk, and then published her story. When you think about it, she never really did anything, she just lived her life and then decided to tell others about it. Many of her books were not even published until after she died. but her legacy still lives on.

Now ok sure other people do have published books too, but even then most of the time they aren't remembered. and if they are its not in a light of goodness its one of sadness.

So bide your time, say your goodbyes to the poor smushed birdy, and instead of paying attention to the birdys who play in traffic for attention, turn your eyes to the sky and watch the other birds fly. See what mark they are leaving, because I garentee that it will be much more memorable than what the traffic birdies are leaving.

Tickle me Elmo

Since being home by myself, all alone, all day, ALL WEEK... I have started to go slightly insane. Not only am I sick, but I have no energy so even wanting to do something like make cookies, is nearly impossible. Even taking a shower takes an enormous amount of energy...

ANYWAYS

Its Friday night and I'm feeling quite restless... I want to go out and do something, but everyone I know is working. I would like to GO somewhere but I don't have the money to drive anywhere (why is gas so expensive?!) and Even if I did go somewhere, I don't have a place to stay without showing up being like "hey can I crash here?"

If none of this was bad enough, my parents are both out of town, so I could actually do something tonight... Except instead I need to be mature and responsible, and (technically) babysit my younger siblings.

Usually, I could care less... But at this point in time I am feeling rather... not into doing that..

Basically this post is just a rant about how I would really rather not be mature and do what I am supposed to do...

While venting my frustration to a close friend, I came up with an idea, when she replied to my email she said I needed to stop making such vivid mental pictures when I email her because she can't help but laugh out loud when she reads them and the people at her work are starting to think shes kinda nutty...

I just need professional help... Anything that happens this weekend should be very interesting... because my maturity level has dropped, and I feel like doing something REALLY stupid... Hopefully I wont get arrested or anything too bad...
So if you see my face in the Criminals top ten most wanted.. you know why...

The curse of Isreal

A couple Wednesdays ago the Pastor mentioned something about Moses, and I started thinking.

Moses had a pretty interesting life. He was saved by the princess of Egypt, and lived in the palace of Pharaoh, one of the (technically) enemies of his people. Eventually fled his home and the wrath of Pharaoh because he killed someone. One day, God lights a bush on fire, but doesn't let the fire consume the bush. Moses sees the bush and does a "whoa dude"... because all of a sudden its not just the bush burning, but not burning, but now the bush is TALKING!

The bush tells Moses to go talk some sense into Pharaoh, tell him that "I AM" sent Moses to talk to Pharaoh, and set the people of God free.
Moses says Dude, I so can't do this, and After a moment or two of "can not", "can too", God tells Moses to get Aaron and go to Egypt, end of discussion

(if you haven't noticed I'm really paraphrasing this)

So Moses gets to Egypt with Aaron as fast as he can, and then Pharaoh is like "uh, k so this bush told you to tell me 'I AM' sent you, to bring your brother, and that I would let your people, who happen to be building me a huge likeness of myself out of bricks for nothing, go?

And Moses not sure of what else to say says: "yeah!"

Pharaoh laughs, and the after some frogs, locusts, water turned to blood, and finally the majority of the first born children, including Pharaohs, dying, Pharaoh finally decides that 'I AM' is a lot more powerful than he is and he better do as "I AM" tells him.

The people of God are ecstatic! "DUDE WERE FREE!" and they all follow Moses, and live happily ever after.

or not

Instead of trusting God for this super huge awesome thing he did for them, as soon as they get to a road block (the Red Sea)... Looses hope and gets their pout on, while freaking out.

Every time the people of God hit a road block, no matter how big or small, they immediately loose faith, and then when saved yet again, they rejoice! until the next issue comes up. It didn't matter that God saved his people from all those things in the past, they still thought that when something came up nothing could save them and suddenly the situation was helpless. It didn't matter what God revealed or showed them, they still wouldn't have faith when something else happened.

Since the story of Moses, and the leading the people of God to freedom (or something like that), even before that, people have continually acted this way.

As soon as a trial comes along our way, we think everything is absolutely impossible, no one can fix it, the sky is falling etc, etc, etc. We also can't think into the future and see what God will do with this situation to make us grow in him, or to make something else come out of the seemingly super bad, awful, horrid thing that is happening/happened/going to happen... God doesn't do things for no reason, if you stop reading your bible and just see that Moses was put into the river, you can think, well that's stupid, why would something like that happen in the first place? If we wait, though andgive things time, and let things take their course, we can eventually see the end result, God saved Moses from his lifetime of slavery and instead gave him a greater purpose, leading his people out of slavery and on to better things.

As humans we have some terrible tendencies, but the one we need to work on is our trust in God. When something goes wrong instead of complaining, just trust God that it will get better, pray about it, and then see what happens... all of this doomsday stuff is getting on my nerves... I just wish that people, including myself, could get it in our heads that whatever happens, however hard it may be, God has his hand in things, and it will eventually all work out...

Now many people will say, whatever you don't know anything... well hmm lemme think... Go down a few posts and find out about that mustang that took a bath, and then I can also say that I just had to give up a three week trip to visit my grandparents in absolutely GORGEOUS Prince Edward Island, because for whatever reason I have suddenly got this cold, that is bad enough that if my grandparents got it, it wouldn't be very good at all.... So now instead of just arriving at my destination I am typing on the computer, occasionally blowing my rather red nose and coughing the most interesting things out of my chest....

Now I am not going to lie, I am rather bummed, but I am also thinking of all the things that can and will happen now that I am not going, and God sees my attitude and will either reward, or condemn it accordingly.

As he does with everything... its a good thing he's patient and willing to give us a few go's at life.

Wantonness

I totally and absolutely can not believe that it has been almost a month since I posted on here... Where has the time gone!? and I thought I would have more time since I currently don't have a job and I am not doing anything for school... But I digress, because who has time anymore....

On to my original thought that I had a few weeks ago...

Every once in a while I get this sudden urge to cook, and it scares a lot of people.. Not because I'm a bad cook but just because I like to experiment with my cooking, and although I use a recipe, I usually do so much substituting that by the time I'm finished cooking there is no point in using the same recipe because it is definitely not the same.
In any case I was making wantons. I had bought the wrappers at Superstore and I made the filling and then was boiling them, and then would later add them to soup.
Bear with me here...
Wantons are quite similar to humans if you can wrap your head around that... Simply said they are a wrapper (skin), around some meaty insides (guts), some turn out a little larger, or smaller than the rest of the group (nuff said), and they all some how interact with others (just like how everyone interacts with everyone else effecting everyone no matter how slight the contact is).
In essence as I placed these poor little human Wantons into the pot to cook, they immediately interacted with everyone else in the pot. Not one of those wantons was untouched by another and after I removed some of the wantons out and put new fresh ones in (my pot wasn't big enough to cook everything at once), I also came to realize that, even though the previous wantons had left (died?) they still left something behind in the water of wanton life, that the new little human wantons had to live through.

Now, I was not on crack when I was thinking about this, but instead I realized that even though we think our actions are only for today and that they will not have any impact on the future, that is wrong. Everything that I do now, every person that I impact, run into in the mall, smile at in the elevator, yell at or hang up the phone, is essentially effected by my actions, how small or large, some remembered others forgotten, no matter what changes the course of history slightly, putting it on a brand new course.

My choice to hold my tongue and just go inside instead of yelling, crying and making a scene, changes how the entire evening worked out. Think about it. The choice that someone makes when they get into a car after drinking, effects more than just the person driving, even the passengers, it also effects friends, family, even the people that you don't know, but have now killed by running into them. Think of how the actions of just ONE person changes the course of history for an entire race, religion, people.

My goal in this post is to just make people think... Instead of unleashing your fury on other people, or doing stupid things to get back at them for wrecking your fun, or ruining your plans, why not stop, think, take another perspective, laugh instead of avenging an act, and instead of setting your goals on getting even, just let God, have complete control of the situation and go on with your life while HE, not YOU deals with things. God has a great sense of humor, trust me, he can and will get even much better than you EVER could......

Contenental Tour

After looking at my other posts again, I realized I had never really updated the situation with the puddle.

After many long nights spent in prayre.... (okok, lol, Most of it was at church, or a quick "uh God it would be really great if you could do this.... *snore* (as I fall asleep in bed).... not really but whatever) The Car actually got fixed..... SO

(I'm into lists, deal with it)

1) God Answered our prayres and got the car fixed as well as
2)Found a 3.9 mustang engine (for those you know cars like I do, and DO NOT speak Car and driver, they only made those engines for a limited time, and therefore are quite rare...you learn something new every day!
3)Got the mustang engine shipped from who knows where in Canada, to Saskatoon, In like 2-3 days.
4) got the SGI head person, to help assist and give the green light immediately instaed of waiting for almost a week longer
5) got SGI to cover most of it
6) got the car place to install the WHOLE engine thingmy in 3 days
7) allowed us to go to the bestest most amazingestly awesome conference ever(est)!!!!

Seriously, God is cool, and he works in very mysterious ways....... lol Even I can't figure him out.... Lol I cant even find my shoes most days let alone figure out God.....

And now I shall go ponder this over breakfast....

SCHOOL?!?!?!?!?!?!

As of Tomorrow morning, high school starts in my City....

Most people groan, I on the other hand, Giggle.....

At the end of June when I graduated, I thought "okay, this is neat, no school now for like... well ever if I want to.... cool "
And I went on my merry little way. Now though its like, "DUDE I dont EVER have to go back to school again if I don't want to.... EVER!!!!"
I know this little thought probably makes most people just think "oh there she goes again, something finally clicked in that thick head of hers....."
BUT, It kinda makes me giggle, to think that
A) I am really done all of those courses that I had to take but diddnt want to, and if I do go back to school I can just take the classes that I want to take.... :D
B) If I really wanted to, I could sleep in for like, EVER! (because not only am I not in school, I am happily unemployed!!!)
C) I actually finished all nine hundred thousand hundred years of school.... AND I survived...
D) My brother and sister are still have to do it....... :D
And E) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH

IM DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:P)

Adventurous Friendships

After recently getting stuck in a.... ahem... puddle? It has come to my attention that some friendships are much more adventurous than others. After reviewing the said friendship I have come to a conclusion and realization.

First Conclusion) Some friends should stay away from water, In ALL FORMS!

Why, well first because I shrink, and second because everytime it rains we either get lost, and then it hails, or we get to go swimming on 23rd street with said friends mustang...

Second Conclusion) You can say anything to that person, and even though it is complete jibberish, they know EXACTLY what you are trying to tell them.

Example: sand heating noodles, and thats all im going to say on the subject, oh yeah and macabre...... :D

Third Conclusion) You plan to go 2 days out of your way to do a couple things, in order to get to a destination..... and then if those plans fall through you are still going somewhere, maybe not as... shall we say glamourous, but you still plan to go somewhere, even if its camping in the back yard.

Example: Read third conclusion.....

Sometimes I think fate ends up throwing two people together that get along soooooooo well, that they can laugh about anything, and the whole thing, even a trip to the drugstore, turns out to be an adventure, and not a depress fest..... (lol even when said friends mustang is very sick... we still laugh with driving goggles....)

Destinations

While driving to a friends house the other night after dropping my mom off at work, I was sitting in the car at a red light, getting ready to turn left when the dumbest thing occurred to little old moi. Although the other people at the light were turning left, with me, we all essentially had different destinations, none of us were going the same place, and wrapped up inside of each of the cars, was in a way, a different world.

That got me thinking. Wouldn't it be super cool to start at one red light with the cars lined up to turn left, and follow where they all went on a high tech GPS? Watch what happened due to their driving actions? At the last minute say, one car decides to not turn right and cuts off another car by switching lanes, causing the guy who was cut off to slow down, causing him to be rear ended. Thinking that If the first car had of just turned right, there wouldn't have been an accident... Or say if the red mustang just decided to go home instead of down 22ND......

That lead me to another train of thought. If each and every car influences each and every other car, how much different is that to people? Will the way that I act around people, have a direct influence on their day, even the rest of their life? Can something that I do or say change how a person thinks, acts or behaves? How often to we say something in passing and never realize the profound or disasterous effect that it will have on a person...

Essentially the whole thought made me take one very large step back, and think, which, yes, I know, is a very very scary thing....

Sand Heating Noodles

Have you ever gone to say something and realized after you said it that it was not what you origionally ment? I, myself do it ALL the time... one minute we can be talking about say.... sewing, and the next I'll start going on about the really cool sand heating noodles that I bought today, to assist in the process of this crazy dress factory we have going on..... (uh whoevers idea this was, dude lol they have something coming :P) ...
I also find that when I'm tired, flusterd, or angry it gets worse. Its like some type of mental problem, (shut up I am aware of all the other "mental" problems that I have too)... similar to my moms calling of all the children and then the cats names, before she can find the right person. It just goes to show that although people have it together, sometimes, they dont....... hmmmm...
The other thing is pronounciation.... ever said something and then was like "oops, tee hee"... take the word massachusetts for instance.... Say that one wrong and youve got something coming.... or even the word buffet, its pronounced with a silent t, not like being buffetted by the wind....
All in all it just goes to show you how degraded our school system is.... wait hold on... forget it, totally lost where I was headed with that thought....
speaking of not knowing what your trying to say (hahahahahahahhahaha) I think that I am in desperate need of bed....

Ps for those of you who havnt figured out what sand heating noodles are, they just happen to be hand sewing needles...... now try to figure out how I mixed up that one, I still can't figure it out!

Past, Presents, and the Future of our Planet

I think we agree, the past is over -- George W. Bush

While visiting someones blog recently, I came accross this quote and I must say, of all the people to get something right, Old Georgie finally said something that made sense, and actually for once hit the preverbial nail on the head. (Now watch pigs will fly soon.)
I was thinking about the past recently, things I've done, places I've been, and mulling over the fact that, well what if I had done this instead. Or, Would this have gone better if I had not put whipped cream on his face when he fell asleep. Or even, why of all things should that have made a difference, does doing that make me a bad person?

And then I started thinking again. Why should any of that matter? Of course a person should grow from their mistakes, learn from situations, and potentially learn never EVER to repeat some things (like switching the sugar for salt on april fools day for dads coffee..... not good to do in the am, especially when you didnt realize that you made the coffee with instant sanka instead of the real stuff...) but why do we have to dwell on things. I mean even the word dwell makes me shudder, to me its absolutely DEPRESSING to be hung up on one thing for too long, I mean dude, it happened like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh two months, even two and a half weeks ago! In my opinion either deal with it now, or just forget about it. If its not hurting anything, I say forget about it, get a sense of humor, it was a joke, or else not intended to offend you, and move on. I hate it when people are like, "so do you remember", and I'm like "yeah it was sunny that day and we went shopping and I got that outfit on sale and we had lunch at an awesome resteraunt."
and the person is like "yeah, then you blinked with your left eye and not your right and then accidentally took the candy I wanted from the tray of absolutely identical candies as we left the resteraunt."
0_O?
Ok first of all, Lol I know that is a bit over the top for an example, but you have to think, people are really like that! they get hung up on things and then won't forget about it. Personally I would like much more to just to remember the good things and forget about that time I threw up just after eating, at Montanas and we still don't know why, espically since I ran on a treadmill for 20 minutes, and was super energised later.......... hmm maybe I really was sick, I actually ran on a tred mill of my own free will...... In any case, The memory of humanity depresses me, think about it its not just you and me, ITS EVERYONE!
In your history class, you learn about all sorts of things, the emphasis put on the negative things, ex: the holocaust, all that super depressing stuff, but very little emphasis is put on some of the good things that happened in that time. Now some people are probably thinking k she is totally nuts, goood things happened then? but think about it. Oscar Schindler and his list, Anne Frank, The people in the resistance movement, The people who actually survived, escaped, yada yada yada!
In English... well thats just a depressing class moving on.....

But do you see my point? its humanities downfall that we look towards the negative, most of us are glass half empty not half full people.
I say why don;t we just stop thinking negative. Remember the good times, the really funny things that happened, like the Christmas video of dads bald spot, Lana pulling up her socks, and mom getting a peice of wrapping paper stuck on her bum and no one noticing or telling her for about an hour and a half. Not the fact that someone got one more present than me, or I got all used toys and they got new ones. Live for the present, like Melonie in Stephenie Meyer's book "The Host" said, "you never know how much time you will have". Instead of rushing hither and thither, why not stop and smell those perverbial roses, put some roots down, and send something other than an email forward as a form of communication!

(sorry people but a form of communication IS NOT A FORWARD!!!!) although I do enjoy reading some of them.......

Why not also think about the positive future! Other than "the world is going to hell in a handbasket" attitude why dont we think about other things like, that trip your planing to go on, meeting up with an old friend for coffee to catch up on the positive things, spending qualitiy time doing something with your family/children.

Hence forth I think the world would get much better if we all just thought a little more positive, the glass is half full type of mentality. And please please dont be afriad to laugh, becuase when you cant laugh not only is something wrong, but then I might have to come and tickle you until you do.
and when your positive, everything just seems so much......... brighter, better, wonderfuller, superdupererest..... lol you fill in the blank!

Oh i thought i should add this too... IF you MUST remember the bad things in the past at least be able to laugh at them with someone.... like the time i was poked in the ribs while makeing the closing announcement at work, and i got the giggles. That was embarrassing, but I can definatley laugh at that now...... although i could have held a grudge on Judy forever.... lol

Growed up

I remember a time, WAAAAAAAAAAAAY back about oh, two years ago, I thought i knew everything. Now, I definately know that I don't know everything, but I definately know a whole lot more than I did two years ago. For instance, I have come to the realization that staying up super late, then sleeping in late, is quite a stupid thing to do. Not only for the simple reason that I have a job and that when going to bed at three and then getting up to try and be functional for nine in the morning will not happen, but just because I have come to the realization that morning is an awsome time.

When I wake up, the light is usually pouring into my room through the overgrown trees in my backyard, this is about seven thirty or eight. The birds are singing (sometimes VERY loudly) and its usually nice and cool outside, making this one of my favorite times of the day. The other thing is that usually no one else is up, except my mom. Now when I say this is my favorite time of the day I don't actually mean I am one of those people who literally jumps out of bed in the morning, sings along with the birds, and dances as I get dressed, like Mary Poppins. (Sadly I must admit I do dance SOMETIMES when I get dressed, but usually when I'm getting ready for church in the evenings and I am fully awake and listening to something along the lines of Kirk Franklin.) To be quite frank those Mary (merry) people scare me..... a lot. When I get up in the morning I honestly just look around, kind of shuffle towards breakfast and some chai tea, and then, either read a book for a few minutes, or like now, check my email (well when I have the day off). I like waking up slowly, enjoying every moment of it.

I did used to think staying up late was super cool but I have discovered in my very old age, (heeheehee) that 1) when you have to work it just doesnt work
2)You end up feeling sleepy at the oddest times of the day
3)There REALLY is no point when the only thing you can do is play on the computer because everything else is closed, seeing as you live in a city where everything closes at 9 on weekdays and 6 on the weekend.

The only problem with this is when I do go somewhere and things are open late, and I don't get to bed before ten or eleven, I am a grouchy bag the next morning, and I need an afternoon nap. (That is if I don't fall asleep at the function the night before :P)

And for those of you who think I'm a grouchy bag anyways, keep your comments to yourself! I'm pretty sure I know who you are anyways so don't make it more obvious... I mean that in the nicest way possible.....

Proteins=Chicken and beautiful buts

Have you ever gotten something stuck in your head, that just wont come out? like for instance your sitting in church and the pastor says something and your mind IMMEDIATELY skips and jumps its way over to a completely different topic? ESPECIALLY when its a serious topic and your trying to concentrate, or even when he says something that is SO not funny but the way it came out sounds just halarious, and you sit there shaking, turning beet red with pent up laughter, thinking okok its not REALLY that funny, only to have to submit to a completely new round of shaking laughter? its worse when someone who is sitting beside you cant help but laugh either, because they are so tuned into your poor mushy brain that they know EXACTLY what your thinking! I honestly feel bad when this happens.... what must my poor pastor think? im sitting there looking like ive got the paulsy and ive choked on something, and hes preaching on evolution, or some other such topic.

i must say though... above all things that make people get the giggles at church, a very loud, or in some cases (especially from the yonger crowd) muffled noise emited at the exact moment when the preacher takes a breath, can usually garentee that the rest of the service will be filled with fits of silent laughter from those who hear it.

Fishy Smelling Wishes

So I started thinking and decided that i needed to keep everyone informed on my very very eventful life, which is so not true, at all...... and then i was thinking about how i just graduated and how I'm supposed to be living the dream, or whatever, and i realized ive been duped. Instead of Living the dream, i have been pushed (well not pushed but whatever) into the work force, that or my other choice is University or Colledge, YUCK! For now I'm done with school and much more into work. How long that will last who knows, what I do know though is everything that us grads were promised has yet to come true. Although pushed into the big wide world with everything I need to survive, (excuse me but i still dont get where calculus and Physics are supposed to fit into this......) I'm kinda bored. Its no wonder that people go through a mid life crisis! if this is all there is to the work force, I may as well retire and become a bum! lol cuz this whole work all the time thing, really really stinks.... maybe ill just live in my parents basement forever and sew.... lol I'm sure my parents would enjoy that... no I think what I would really like to do is expeirince a bit more of the work force, travel, and then get married and raise some kids. Which to me would be the best job of all.
